Alley Cat Allies: October 16th is National Feral Cat Day!
July 24th, 2006 8:56 pm by KellyVia Alley Cat Allies:
There’s an important day coming up, a day that will bring much needed attention to the treatment of feral cats who live in our communities. The day is October 16th, National Feral Cat Day (NFCD), when we will kick off a yearlong campaign of awareness, education and action to improve the lives of feral and stray cats. Working together we will encourage people in communities nationwide to practice Trap, Neuter, and Return or TNR, the only humane, low-cost way to reduce the feral cat population.
You can help us in this effort. Visit our website at
www.nationalferalcatday.org, where you’ll find information and materials you can download to inform people and policy makers in your area about feral cats and TNR.
