Urge Congress to Pass Wilderness Bills
This session of Congress has seen some very encouraging movement of wilderness bills. On one exciting day in July alone, the House voted in favor of designating outstanding wilderness areas in Idaho’s Boulder-White Cloud Mountains, on Oregon’s Mount Hood, and along the north coast of California.
The progress of these and several other efforts is testament to the labors of wilderness champions in Congress as well as determined citizen activists . But time is running out and Congress must act promptly to pass these bills before the end of the congressional session, or else we will lose these hard-won wilderness victories. Contact your members of Congress today and urge them to create a wilderness legacy for future generations by passing these bills into law this year.
