URGENT PET POISON ALERT: NATIONWIDE PET FOOD RECALLS
As we monitor the situation, the ASPCA advises owners to discontinue use of all pet food recalled late last week. If your pet shows any sign of illness, including loss of appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and changes in water consumption or urination, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center immediately. ALABAMA EQUINE BILL READY FOR FULL SENATE VOTE!
SB 29 will make it a felony to torture a horse or pony, defines “torture” in this context and institutes penalties for offenses.
ILLINOIS SET TO MAKE ALL ANIMAL FIGHTS FELONIES
Only dog fighting is a felony under Illinois state law–other forms of animal fighting, including cockfighting, are only misdemeanors. HB 3614, awaiting a vote by the House, will correct this.
