World Week for Animals In Laboratories (WWAIL) 4/22-4/28

April 22nd, 2007 10:01 pm by Kelly Garbato

“World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week is the week that surrounds April 24th every year – It’s a national week of protests, media events, etc. at laboratories to stop testing and research on animals.”

“Over 20,000,000 million animals suffer and die in U.S. laboratories every year. These innocent victims are subjected to addictive drugs, caustic chemicals, ionizing radiation, chemical and biological weapons, electric shock, deprivation of food and/or water, psychological torture and many other horrors. World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week (April 22nd – 28th, 2007) is the time when activists come together to make a difference for these animals.”

Visit http://www.all-creatures.org/wlalw/ to register your event or find one near you. Here you’ll also find a ton of articles, FAQ sheets, pictures, resources, media coverage, and more.

And, of course, here’s Google on the latest (though, as of this posting, The Google only yielded a disappointing two results).

I’ll let Last Chance for Animals have the last word…

LAST REMINDER! Come Out for the Animals! World Week for Animals In Laboratories (WWAIL)

WWAIL-dog

This dog is in a research facility. He will be experimented on, with or without pain relieving drugs, and then killed. The experiment will not cure cancer or AIDS or be relevant to any human health care issue – ever.

We hope this makes you angry because you have the power to do something about it!

Join the World Week for Animals in Laboratories (WWAIL) demonstration in your city. Don’t let 20,000,000 animals suffer and die in U.S. laboratories every year without being part of the fight. Join WWAIL! It will just take one afternoon out of your life to make a difference.

WWAIL is a week-long effort to raise awareness across the country for the unnecessary suffering of animals in medical research, medical training and pharmaceutical laboratories. These animals are subjected to addictive drugs, caustic chemicals, ionizing radiation, chemical and biological weapons, electric shock, deprivation of food and/or water, psychological torture and many other horrors.

WWAIL is the time when people just like you, across the country, mobilize to make a difference for the animals.
