Via the League of Conservation Voters:

Go Further. Live Safer.

Picture the TV you owned 20 years ago. How about your telephone - had a cord, right? Did you even own a computer?

The technological developments of the past two decades are astounding. Nearly every aspect of life in America has been transformed - except one: New cars and trucks today average fewer miles on a gallon of gas than they did in 1987.

Technology is not the problem. It’s political stalemate. But right now, we can break it, once and for all.

Join us, today, by asking your representative in Congress to co-sponsor the Markey-Platts bill, which would lead us toward a new generation of cars - and a cleaner, cooler planet.
