  1. Anne Davis Says:

Please get involved in seeing that Henry’s Law is passed in Utah. The law is named after a small mixed-breed dog who was first blinded by a leaf blower and then put into a 200-degree oven for five minutes. He is scarred permanently. The person who did this, Marc C. Vincent, was charged with and convicted of, intentional animal cruelty. Currently in Utah the maximum penalty is at the Class A Misdemeanor level with the maximum punishment of up to one year in jail and up to a $2500 fine. Vincent was sentenced to six months in jail and a$ $1000 fine. He was released after serving just 4 1/2 months due to ‘good behavior’. 43 states have a felony provision on the books for intentional animal cruelty or torture, but Utah is not one of them.
