Animal Person: Voice Your Opposition to AETA
Please send letters for Abolish AETA as a presidential proposal.

Color Of Change.org: Support the Gulf Coast Civic Works Act
It’s been 3 years since Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, but the region still hasn’t received the help it needs to recover. The Gulf Coast Civic Works Act would hire 100,000 Gulf Coast residents and evacuees, providing them with training and jobs to rebuild their homes and communities. It’s a solution that would give all Katrina survivors a fair chance to rebuild their lives, while revitalizing the Gulf Coast’s economy and rebuilding its infrastructure.

Earthjustice: Save the Endangered Species Act!
The Bush administration wants to severely weaken the Endangered Species Act — we need your help to make sure this doesn’t happen.

Oxfam America: FEMA’s Latest Excuse
Recently, CNN did a report on how millions of dollars’ worth of supplies were given away, rather than sent to help people in need. The reason? FEMA said no one asked for them. Can you believe that? Help Oxfam America do something to change the situation. Please tell FEMA today that you want the supplies delivered to people who need them most—those affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Public Citizen: Help Hold Congress Accountable at the Conventions
Efforts are already underway to ensure that big money doesn’t win undo influence over Congress. The Fair Elections Now Act would create a voluntary public financing system for Congressional races so candidates don’t have to rely on big donors. Candidates are signing the Voters First Pledge.

PETA2: Texas Police Officer Allegedly Prevents Choking Dog from Receiving Vet Care
According to news sources, San Marcos police are investigating an officer who stopped a car en route to an emergency veterinary clinic and made the occupants wait while Missy, their poodle, died.

Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA): Help Stop Big Oil’s Dirty Business
We’re hearing it everywhere this summer - “drill here, drill now” as the solution to the high cost of energy. Big Oil is spending its obscene profits on intense strategic advertising and lobbying campaigns in order to sell to the American public the message that more drilling will get us out of this mess. Not only is this message wrong - more drilling won’t lower gas prices or solve our long-term energy challenges - but it poses an enormous threat to our nation’s remaining wild places, from the Arctic to Utah’s redrock wilderness. Please let you elected representatives know there are more constructive ways to solve our energy problems than sacrificing our public lands and waters.

The Wilderness Society: Tell Congress: Stand firm on energy
Under pressure to help consumers, many of our elected officials are wrongly giving in to the oil and gas industry’s multi-million dollar lobbying campaign to open protected lands and waters to drilling. That’s why we need you to send a message to your member of Congress, insisting on an energy plan based on common sense, instead of a rush to drill.

If you (like us) regularly use the term “OMG”, you need Babycakes in your life – make no mistake!

PETA2: Win Macbeth Shoes from Tom DeLonge!
Tom DeLonge is what I like to refer to as a “chronic yet talented multitasker.” This dude does just about everything and is probably one of the busiest guys around. First and foremost, you probably know him as one-third of Blink-182 and the singer of Angels & Airwaves, but he’s also the mastermind behind Mod Life and the owner of Macbeth Shoes. Want your very own pair of Macbeth shoes? Enter the contest below!
