I further believe that if she were a man, it would have been tolerated and excused by the powers ruling that society. I know first hand, as a journalist in Iran many years ago how the powers that be look the other way regarding far worse perceived violations to the Koran and "the people." Roxana is in dire danger and needs our help. I posted an moving open letter to her from her fiance, filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi, and urge everyone to read it.
