Originally I was going to whip up a batch of Maple Bacon Doughnuts for the very last Swanson Sunday of VeganMoFo 2014. Aaaaand then Shane made his annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas and returned with several dozen vegan donuts from Ronald’s. I didn’t think my pants would forgive me if I made even more baked goods, so. Real Men Eat Quiche Lorraine it is!

Luckily, this quiche? Also has bacon! And cheese! Lots and lots of cheddar Daiya cheese! Also tofu and assorted egg-related spices. And onions! Can’t forget the onions!

Since Ron is notorious in his hatred of vegan bacon, I swapped out the meatless strips for “accidentally vegan” Bac’n Bits.

    I love seeing what you have made from this cookbook. I have had it for ages (I have it with the original name), but I can’t make too much from it all in one go because of that waistband issue you mentioned. Why are pants so judgemental?? ;)

    Susan – I know what you mean! Someone’s blogging from Kris Holecheck’s The 100 Best Vegan Baking Recipes, which I own but haven’t cracked open in years. Now it seems like there are at least a dozen recipes I somehow missed and must. try. this. minute.
