@SourcebooksFire sent me an ARC of All the Winters After, and I was thrilled to win Chelsea Pitcher’s twitter giveaway – a $10 Amazon certificate, as well as a copy of The Last Faerie Queen and some swag!

From St. Martin’s Press, a very timely ARC of investigative journalist Jeffrey Stern’s The Last Thousand: One School and the Future of Afghanistan.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of Underneath Everything on YA Interrobang. It’s a thriller (? drama?) about toxic female friendships and sounds like just the sort of escape I need right now.

So here’s one I’m really looking forward to: Front Lines (Soldier Girl #1), an alt. history title that sees women fighting in WWII. I KNOW, RIGHT. Harper Collins, you know me so well.

Thanks to @StMartinsPress & @ShelfAwareness for this ARC of The Things We Keep. It’s out in January!

The Gods of HP Lovecraft, received for review through Library Thing. I am super-stoked about this one, you guys! It’s got a story by Seanan McGuire!

I snagged this bad girl on BookMooch: Yonnondio: From the Thirties, by Tillie Olsen.

Dey Street Books sent me a Notorious RBG temporary tattoo with a chance to win a finished copy of the book (*fingers crossed*). I feel like a should save it for something special. If only Mags’s butt was still shaved. That would a) be priceless and b) make a sweet addition to my Mags + Books (Mooks?) collection.

I also snagged a few great deals on ebooks this month:

  • Mailbox: A Scattershot Novel of Racing, Dares and Danger, Occasional Nakedness, and Faith by Nancy Freund ($0.99)
  • Origins: Tales of Human Evolution edited by Eric T. Reynolds ($1.00)
  • The Clockwork God (Aboard the Great Iron Horse #1) by Jamie Sedgwick (Free on Amazon!)
  • I Am Princess X by Cherie Priest ($2.99)
    For review on NetGalley:

  • Choose Your Own Misery: The Office Adventure by Mike MacDonald & Jilly Gagnon
