Cupid Calf to Spend Valentine’s, Every Day at California Shelter
Move over winged cherubs and blushing sweethearts, there’s a new heartbreaker in town! Newly-arrived in time for Valentine’s Day, Cupid the calf has everyone at our California Shelter swooning— especially staff and volunteers who have yet to stop oohing and ahhing over the white heart-shaped mark on his forehead, his sweet and playful personality and, most of all, his compelling tale of bravery and survival. Support Legislation to Help Downed Animals
Downed animals—livestock who are too weak or sick to stand on their own—are some of the most abused farm animals in the factory farming industry. As many have seen in recent media coverage, the issues surrounding the abuse of downed animals are ongoing, and your help is needed to advance legislation that will help end this abuse. Find out what you can do today!
Interns Needed at our New York and California Shelters
Be a part of our life-saving efforts for farm animals and engage in some of the most personally rewarding volunteer work you will ever do by becoming a Farm Sanctuary intern. Love animals and the outdoors? We are in particular need of interns to assist with daily operations on our New York and California shelters throughout the winter and the spring. Positions are available in other departments as well. More details.
